BISTRO NOIR Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how the BISTRO NOIR application handles information used by its implemented features. The legal identity used for this policy is BISTRO NOIR.
1. Scope
This policy applies to information entered or created while using the BISTRO NOIR Android application. The current implementation does not use a remote backend, cloud database, user account system or online payment gateway.
2. Reservation Details
The reservation-details flow uses the following fields:
- Name — required. Used to identify the reservation-details record.
- Phone number — required. Used as contact information within the reservation-details record.
- Selected branch — required. Used to identify whether the visit is planned for Islamabad or Lahore.
- Party size — required. Used to record the number of guests.
- Date — required. Used to record the requested visit date.
- Time — required. Used to record the requested visit time.
- Special requests — optional. Used to retain any additional dining notes entered by the user.
These fields are stored on the user's device when a reservation-details record is completed. They are not transmitted to BISTRO NOIR, a restaurant server or another external server by the current implementation.
3. Dining Planner
The app may store selected dishes, quantities and the estimated total so the dining plan can remain available after an app restart and can be included with a completed reservation-details record. The app does not request or store full card numbers, CVV/CVC codes, card PINs, online-banking credentials or raw payment credentials.
4. Favourites
The app stores identifiers for dishes selected as favourites. These remain on the device until the user removes them, clears local app data, or uninstalls/clears the application.
5. Dining History
Completed reservation-details records can include the required and optional reservation fields listed above, along with the dining-plan summary and estimated total when present. The application can retain up to 30 completed records on the device. Individual records can be deleted from Dining History.
6. Contact Us
The Contact Us screen can open an installed email application for a general support enquiry. The app does not automatically attach or send reservation details, dining-plan information, favourites or dining history through that email action.
7. Services and Permissions Not Used
The current application does not use advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, Firebase, authentication, user accounts, remote APIs, a cloud database, an online payment gateway, device location, camera, microphone, media-library access or storage-access permissions.
8. Retention
Locally retained information remains on the device until the user deletes an individual history record, clears retained app information from Settings, clears application data, or uninstalls the app.
9. Deletion
Use House → Dining History to delete individual completed records. Use House → Settings → Clear Local Data to remove favourites, dining-planner information and completed history. Clearing application data or uninstalling the application also removes locally retained information.
10. Data Sharing
The current implementation does not transmit the reservation-details records, dining-planner information, favourites or dining history to BISTRO NOIR, advertisers, analytics providers or external servers.
11. Security
Information retained by the app is stored using the device's local application storage. No method of storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users should avoid entering unnecessary sensitive information into optional notes.
12. Children's Privacy
The application is not designed to collect information from children. The app does not provide user accounts or child-directed features.
13. User Choices
Users may choose not to complete the reservation-details flow. Optional special requests can be left blank. Favourites can be removed at any time, and retained app information can be cleared through Settings.
14. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated if the application's implemented functionality or data-handling behaviour changes.
15. Privacy Questions
For privacy-related questions or requests, please use the Contact Us section available within the application.
